Huge setback for the blues as This key Chelsea forward suffers injury setback that will rule him out until at least late-October

Chelsea forward Izzy Brown, who is currently on loan at Leeds United, has suffered and injury setback that will rule him out until at least late-October.

Brown is recovering from an ACL injury that he suffered in January whilst playing for Brighton and when Leeds took him on loan, they thought he’d be back in action by early October but speaking at his press conference today, United manager Marcelo Bielsa revealed that Brown hasn’t even begun kicking a ball yet.

He said:

It’s been a long time since he played, he still needs to recover. He hasn’t started to play with the ball, he hasn’t played football with us so far. It’s impossible to say when he will be fit. It won’t be a short time.
Leeds, having lost Patrick Bamford to a serious injury, would have been hoping to have Brown available sooner rather than later but at this stage, there is no real idea as to when he’ll be fit to return.
